KIDS ARE OUR FUTURE ACTION TEAM TO BE FORMED

As a follow-up to the Helping Our Kids Reach for the Future Summit sponsored by the Lumpkin Family Foundation last March, a group of community leaders who attended the summit have met as a “Transition Team.” The Transition Team has worked at creating an ACTION TEAM for East Central Illinois. The purpose of the ACTION TEAM will be to advance the vision of a region in which all children and youth have the support they need to realize successful futures full, contributing to their communities. Among other responsibilities, the ACTION TEAM will administer a seed-money grant fund for initiatives that show promise in improving the regional system of support for children and youth.

Nominations are welcome from those in the region who share the vision the ACTION TEAM seeks to advance. Included below is additional information about the nominations process and

• A description of the ACTION TEAM’s mandate; and
• The Nominee Information Form to be completed by nominees.
