Visitors to Champaign have the opportunity to experience a rich cultural atmosphere along with an abundance of sports and entertainment. Urbana

The city of Urbana is home to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, making the small community a vibrant college town. As a result, Urbana is full of eclectic attractions, an extensive parks system and unique shopping opportunities that attract both locals and visitors alike. Those interested in world history enjoy the Spurlock Museum, as it features over 46,000 artifacts that celebrate a variety of cultural heritages from around the world. Urbana is also home to over 20 parks, including The Arboretum, a 160-acre garden that features annual and perennial bedding plants in a number of themed gardens. A popular pastime in Urbana is shopping at Lincoln Square Mall, which has served the community since the 1960s and is one of America's first enclosed shopping centers. The summer Farmers' Market is also a trendy shopping spot where fresh produce, flowers and baked goods are offered.
