Conference Handouts

2nd Biannual Downstate Illinois Nonprofit Conference
Crowne Plaza Hotel, Springfield, Illinois

September 19, 2007

The Downstate Illinois Nonprofit Conference is a unique opportunity for downstate nonprofits to hear national and regional thought leaders speak about the challenge of leadership as well as connect with their peers.  Offered on a biannual basis, this is the only conference structured to meet the needs of nonprofits south of I80.

New in 2007: Curbside Consulting

Sign up at the conference to spend 15 minutes talking to a professional for ideas on how to address an issue specific to your organization.

Curbside consulting is not expected to be a complete solution to your problem, but rather to give you ideas about where to start.

Any follow-up discussion outside the conference, whether paid or unpaid, is at the mutual consent of the attendee and the consultant.

What difference does leadership style make to the way nonprofits function? How do the characteristics of leaders translate to particular kinds of organizational outcomes: good and bad? What do leaders have to concentrate on to ensure that their organization has impact beyond expectations? These are the questions that Ms. McCambridge will explore in her lunchtime keynote address.
