Bruce Karmazin, Executive Director bruce.karmazin@consolidated.com After completing his Master's in economic history and development at the University of Toronto, Bruce spent two years as a volunteer in Botswana on a USAID project. Upon his return, Bruce began his career in nonprofit management as a fundraising consultant with an international fundraising firm and worked on campaigns that raised in excess of $325 million. He later continued his nonprofit career as Executive Director of two hospital foundations in Canada. In 1998, Bruce decided to pursue his interest in nonprofit law and management by attending law school at the University of Iowa. Bruce joined The Lumpkin Family Foundation in 2001. Bruce lives in Mattoon with his wife and son and enjoys golf, fishing, nature and travel. |

Annie Hernandez, Program Officer Organization & Leadership Development annie.hernandez@consolidated.com Annie comes to The Lumpkin Family Foundation from Leadership Ventures, a nonprofit management support organization in Indianapolis. As Vice President there she initiated management services and performed quality audits, trainings and facilitations for many nonprofit organizations. Prior to that, Annie served in a variety of public and not-for-profit capacities including the State of Indiana’s Rural Affairs, faculty of the J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership at the University of Georgia working with the Community Leadership Association, and as the inaugural Executive Director of Fiesta Indianapolis, Inc. Recently, she received the inaugural Young and Emerging Capacity Builder Award from the Alliance for Nonprofit Management as well as being Indiana’s delegate to the inaugural Nonprofit Congress. No stranger to Illinois, Annie received her MS in Agricultural, Environmental Communication and Education from the University of Illinois with an emphasis in leadership and community development. Annie grew up on a farm in Texas, where she received her BS from Texas A&M University. Annie joined The Lumpkin Family Foundation in May of 2008. Annie lives in Mattoon and loves spending time with friends and family, boating, traveling and singing. Locally, she is involved in Mattoon Rotary, Business & Professional Women of Coles County, the United Way of Moultrie County, and the Sullivan Area Arts. |

Mary Weber, Administrative Assistant mary.weber@consolidated.com Mary joined The Lumpkin Family Foundation in January 2000 to assist The Foundation's first Executive Director. She holds a Fine Arts degree from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College near Terre Haute, Indiana. She has been active in the nonprofit community of Central Illinois for many years, and serves as Director on several nonprofit Boards including the Kiwanis Club of Mattoon and the Friends of the Mattoon Public Library. As the Administrative Assistant for The Lumpkin Family Foundation, Mary balances multiple Foundation tasks and responsibilities. Mary and her husband, Bob, live in Mattoon and have two grown sons. She enjoys, reading, traveling, and attending St. Louis Cardinals baseball games with her family. |

Kelsey Holsapple, Foundation Intern kelsey.holsapple@consolidated.com Kelsey is a senior Marketing student at Eastern Illinois University in nearby Charleston, Illinois and plans to graduate in December. She started as the new Lumpkin Family Foundation Intern in January 2010 and is very excited to begin working with local nonprofit organizations. Although she does not have previous experience working with nonprofits, Kelsey has a wide range of additional work background that will prove helpful in this position. On campus, Kelsey serves as the Vice President of Community Service for the American Marketing Association and is also involved with the EIU chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, a service organization for female students. Having grown up in the small town of Metamora, Illinois, Kelsey is accustomed to the friendly atmosphere of Mattoon. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, traveling and watching movies. |

Mary Eddy maryeddy@mac.com Mary Eddy joined The Lumpkin Family Foundation in January 2004 as Coordinator of its Soaring Schools! program and also coordinates the East Central Illinois collaborative resulting from the Summit:Helping Our Children Reach for the Future held in March 2006. She brings to The Foundation experience in public K-12 education and higher education. Mary has taught English, psychology and education in a variety of school settings and administered English and teacher education programs. Earlier in her career, Mary participated in a drug-abuse prevention program for teens and served as program evaluator for a summer enrichment program for African American junior high students in St. Louis. Mary holds a Masters in English from Western Illinois University and a Ph.D. in English Education from The Ohio State University. Mary lives with her husband in Urbana, IL. She enjoys swimming, gardening and good conversation. |
